Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

The service

Outward Security provides a recurring, monthly report summarizing publicly available security-related information about a domain you submit (email authentication records, SSL/TLS certificate details, and HTTP security headers). This is an informational report, not a penetration test, security audit, or guarantee of security.

No warranty

Reports are provided "as is." We make a good-faith effort to check reports for accuracy, but we do not guarantee completeness or that following our suggestions will prevent any particular security incident. This service is not a substitute for professional security auditing where one is required (for example, for compliance purposes).

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are authorized to request a report on the domain you submit — for example, that it's your own business's domain, or one you have permission to have checked.

Billing and cancellation

The service is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and future reports, but does not refund the current billing period unless otherwise agreed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outward Security is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this service or reliance on its reports.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
